on friday, i was browsing through the 'Dance Magazine' periodicals in the National Library and came across this article..

Your Dancing Can Reap Dream Benefits
Linda Hamilton Ph.D
According to scientific studies by sleep experts, dreams help us to learn, remember and perform new tasks by transferring new information into our long term memory.
The catch, of course, is to get enough sleep. Dreams occur throughout the night; however, the most intense brain activity associated with Rapid Eye Movement, happens between the 6 and 8 hours of sleep. Sleep deprived dancers miss out on this.

So go sleep now to learn how to do those FOUETTES en pointe. haha.
